Getting Started

The Downtown Campus Library has over half a million items on the shelves: the fastest way to find any topic or title is to search the catalog, as the rest of this guide describes.

Once you have a specific call number for a book, journal, or other item, you can use the location guide here on the left to go to the correct floor. You can also pick up a print guide at the circulation desk with maps of each floor and lists of locations.

On each floor, check the signs at the ends of the bookshelves to help locate the correct range for your call number. A few collections have special location codes, along with the call number, listed in the catalog. Those location are listed below:
