Getting Started

If you're new to Chicago or just looking for more information about the campus area, this guide will help you find what you need to get started.

The Places to Go section suggests three free ways to start exploring the city:

The Things to Read section suggests several great source of local information:

  • The Chicago Reader provides in-depth reviews and news for local events & politics
  • Time Out Chicago covers a wide variety of entertainment options and has a new student guide
  • Yelp Chicago is a forum for local reviews of all kinds of local shops & businesses

The Getting Around and Local Maps sections provide information on public transportation and maps of local attractions
